After you have created your design in Cricut Design Space, let’s make it!! Make sure to change the foil line colors if your wanting to use more then 1 to make your location stand out. Have you used the Cricut Foil Transfer system before? I will walk you through it.
Start by placing the black kraft board onto your 12×12 StandardGrip mat. Lay a sheet of the gold foil on top of the black kraft board. Use the tape that is included in your package of foil and tape all the edges down to secure them.
Get out the housing for the Cricut Foil Transfer System, get the medium tip which has 2 lines on it and insert it into the housing. Insert that into the machine.

Insert the mat into the Cricut Machine. Click Make It. The machine will press the gold foil into the kraft board. The Machine will finish and the mat will come out. DO NOT UNLOAD THE MAT!!!!! While the mat is still loaded, remove the tape and the gold foil. add a small square of the teal colored foil or whatever color you’re choosing to use.

Tape the teal foil to secure like before, then click the flashing button to continue with the foiling. When its done foiling, remove the tape and foil, follow the prompts in Cricut Design space to change out the foil housing for the cutting blade. Click the flashing button and the Cricut Maker will cut the square around the design.

Flip your mat over and carefully remove the design. To add the coordinates of your star onto the mat of the photo frame, we will be using Cricut Iron On.
Cut a small strip of black iron-on. Place face down onto the mat. Mirror Image and cut. Weed the design carefully since the design is very thin.
Preheat your Cricut EasyPress2 280 degrees
Cover design and mat with parchment paper to protect from heat.
Press for 30 seconds, light pressure and remove liner when cool to touch.

Open back of frame, and tape your design into the frame.

This was such a special gift. My husband purchase me this star and I had so much fun creating this art for it so I can always know the coordinates and see the map of where i can look for my star. I hope that you have had fun making this constellation foil art with me today!
