The new Cricut EasyPress Mini is the cutest thing ever!! It is truly what they say, Mini but mighty. The Cricut EasyPress Mini is the newest addition to the Cricut EasyPress family. No matter what other sizes of presses you have, this unique size of EasyPress is a great companion. The new EasyPress Mini will now allow you to work on more unique and hard to reach areas on your projects. Where your other larger presses may be hard to maneuver. Projects like hats, shoes, stuffed animals, cuffs, pockets, fine detailed spots, are all perfect candidates for the EasyPress Mini.
The EasyPress Mini has all the technology as the EasyPress 2. Even heat plate and easy to use heat settings for easy heat transfers.
As with the other EasyPresses, Cricut has also created a heatguide for the EasyPress Mini and that can be found here : Click below

Today we are going to be making a MAMA trucker hat. I love how cute and fun this hat is and you could make it in so many fun colors! Since it’s turning into fall season around here, I chose some toned down, rich colors, navy blue and gold.
For this project you will need to get a blank trucker hat. I found this one on Amazon for really cheap. I’ll include the link below in the supply list.

Let’s get started creating this darling MAMA hat! This would be a great and easy gift for any mother in your life.

In cricut design space your going to create this image. You can also find the Cricut Design Space link here : https://design.cricut.com/#/design/175877827

Select shapes, choose the square. Unlock it so you can drag it to make it the size that you want. I did 2″x4.5″. Copy and paste so you have 2 rectangles. unlock one and make it smaller, half of the other one. You can change the color if you want to be able to see better. select both images and slice. This will remove half of the rectangle.
Insert the text MA and copy it so you have 2. I used the font A Frightful Affair. Make one white and one black. place the two where you want them. One in each square that you have. Now we want to align them at the top so we know they are straight. to do this select both words, at the top select align, align top.
Once you have them lined up, now you want to slice the one on the black square out. To do that, select the black square and the white words. Right click and slice. You can also click slice on the bottom right hand corner. Drag the ones you cut out away and delete. Select the whole design, right click and attach. This will make it so your design will stay exactly like you have created it.
You are now ready to cut. Remember to place your iron on material shiny side down on your cutting mat. Load into machine and cut. Remove off mat, weed.
*make sure to leave the little inside of the A on the black square part and remove the letter part.

You are now ready to apply to your hat. Using the Cricut Heatguide preheat your Cricut EasyPress Mini to medium.
Using the Cricut Heat Resistant tape, tape your design onto your hat to ensure it doesn’t move around while your applying.

With constant movement and light pressure apply the design onto the hat using the Cricut EasyPress Mini. Peel while warm
*I used the small EasyPress mat to hold onto the back of the hat for some of the time as I applied it.

And it’s that easy!! It was so nice to be able to move with the hat to get a flat, nice press. This EasyPress Mini made all the difference for this project.

Thank you so much for joining me today for this tutorial! Make sure to check back for more tutorials and grab your supplies from the supply list above with the links provided.
