Remove the liner from the card mat. Open the Cricut Card Mat and slide the card in. Press onto mat.
Insert mat into the Cricut Joy. Press go in Cricut Design space. When the Design has been cut, slowly remove card from mat.
Add insert card into the corner slots and your done.
I love using the smart materials for the Cricut Joy. They make it so quick and easy to cut materials. Load the black, Smart Iron-On, SHINY SIDE DOWN. Make sure you mirror both images before cutting. Cut the black Iron-On. Load the teal Smart Iron-On, SHINY SIDE DOWN. Cut the Teal Iron-On. Weed both colors.
Place the teal image onto the liner of the black image. Place the combined image on the bottom of the socks and using the Cricut EasyPress 2, press for 30 seconds at 315.
Flip and press on the back for 15 seconds. let cool and peel off the liner.
How fun are these!! Mom will love wearing these and getting the time she deserves to just sit back and relax.
LABELS FOR EXTRA ITEMS
We wanted to add some additional items to this moms gift basket that we didn’t make but of course we are going to have to make some cute labels fo them!
Cricut Joy Pen-BLACK (THIS COMES WITH YOUR MACHINE)
This process of making labels is my favorite!!! The Smart Label Writeable Vinyl is sooo amazing and easy to use.
Insert the smart label vinyl into the Cricut Joy. Insert the pen into the clamp. Click make it and let the Joy do her thing. The machine will draw out your lables.
When the Joy is finished drawing the labels it will pause, insert the blade into the clamp and press go.
When it’s done cutting simply peel the labels and stick them like stickers to the purchased items.
Repeat the steps for the toning eye patches.
Easy right? I seriously love making labels this way.
Ok! You have made it to our last project! I hope that you have had fun creating all these items for this Mother’s Day gift basket.
BEST MOM EVER MUG
1 sheet of laser copy paper cut down to fit the Cricut Joy mat.
Cricut Infusible Ink- Distressed berry ( You will have to cut this material down to fit onto a standard grip Cricut Joy mat.)
Have you tried the new Cricut Mug Press? It’s incredible and will take your gift giving and crafting to the next level.
Let’s get started making this fun mug for mom! This is a double press project its a little more advanced as we will press the infusible ink transfer sheets first and then apply the marker design on top for a second press.
Open the Design Space File above for this project. Click Make it. MAKE SURE ALL THE LAYERS ARE MIRRORED EVEN THE DRAW IMAGE.
Place your trimmed Laser copy paper on the light grip joy mat. insert the Infusible ink marker into the machine. Click go and the machine will draw the design. The machine will then pause. Insert the blade into the clamp.
Remove the drawn page when the machine finishes. Trim your black infusible ink transfer sheet to be only 2.5 inches wide. We will be trimming this down and just using the corners so we don’t want to waste the full sheet. Apply to the green Joy mat. Insert and click go. Remove the mat when finished cutting. Turn mat over and peel the mat away form the transfer sheet. This makes it so the transfer sheet doesn’t curl up.
Trim the words so you just have the corners leaving the little bums to line it up with the other transfer sheet. Weed words and set aside. Put the Pink Distressed Berry that has been trimmed down to fit, onto the green joy mat and insert into the machine.
Click go and let the machine cut the flowers. When its done, remove from machine and weed image carefully. peel the mat away from the transfer sheet. You will now set the best mom ever piece onto the flower sheet matching up the bottom little bumps.
Carefully place the words onto the sheet lining them up with the bottom bumps. Repeat on both sides. This is so we can press both of these colors at the same time.
Preheat the Mug Press by turning on. Prepare much bu removing from packaging and lint roll the out side. Line up the floral sheet you just got ready. Making sure to line up the top and bottom edges where the flowers go all the way to the edges.
Make sure it’s tight. Press the wrap down smoothly. Insert the mug into the hot press. close the lever.
When the Mug Press beeps, this will take about 6 minutes, carefully remove only touching the handle, set on a Cricut EasyPress Mat or hot pad and let cool. test to make sure its not hot then remove liner.
Now take the Draw image paper and line up the design with the pink floral design and using the heat transfer tape, tape the image on place tightly.
When using the Infusible ink pens or markers in the Cricut Mug Press you need to protect your press from any ink that may leak through. Trim down 3 sheets of butcher paper that came in the Transfer sheet box to 4.5×9 wrap around the drawn image and tape in place with the heat resistant tape. Place into Mug Press and close lever.
When the press is done, carefully remove and let cool. When cooled remove butcher paper and then the drawn image. You are left with a beautiful long lasting custom mug for mom.
When all your project have been created. Put them all in the basket write a little note to mom on the card and your ready to surprise her with a fun basket personalized just for her! I hope you have had so much fun creating all these projects and creating a DIY Mother’s Day gift basket with me! If you have any questions please leave them in the comments below.
