Personalize your back to school essentials using your Cricut!! We have created a set of school essentials with a gaming theme. So fun right!!
The kids have been out of school so long it seems unreal! I don’t know about your family but my kids are very excited for school to start. Quarantine has been long and hard and we are not out of the woods yet, but homeschool, well that was super hard around this house and I am so grateful for all our wonderful teachers out there and their patience they have with the children to help them learn and grow!
As we were getting essential items ready for the kids to take to school, we needed to do some personalizing so things didn’t get lost or shared with others in the class! Some new essentials that are required this year are a water bottle, face mask, hand sanitizer, and basically your name on everything that you will be using at school.
We have a big gamer here at our house so this theme was perfect for my son! Today we will be creating personalization for a lunch box, water bottle, pencil bag, mask and some name labels for all the little things too!

I love being able to use my Cricut Machine to customize anything that we want! It Is so easy and quick and basically just makes everything so much fun and makes my boys feel special. I let them pick the theme or images and then I make it happen. I will list all the blanks that I used including the backpack in the supplies needed section.
Lets get started!!

Here are some supplies you will need for all the projects. Lists will be given for each project with links below.

LUNCH BOX-

SUPPLIES NEEDED- CLICK LINKS TO PURCHASE
Cricut Maker or Cricut Explore Air 2 Machine
Cricut 12×12 machine cutting mat
Cricut Infusible Ink Transfer Sheet- BLACK
Cricut Sportsflex Iron on- SILVER
Lint roller
For this Project we will be using a combo of Infusible Ink and Sportsflex Iron on. Being that the Material of the lunch box is polyester, Try to be careful not to touch the trim typically its a meltable material. High heat needed for these projects may cause the inside material to melt also, always protect mats by using a sheet of parchment paper or card stock in between project, mat, and EasyPress machines.
Start with the Infusible Ink portion of the project. Place your black Infusible ink, ink side up on your Cricut cutting mat. Mirror your image and cut using the Infusible Ink transfer sheet cut setting. You will also need to cut the Sportsflex Iron on. Shiny liner side down and mirror your image.
See video below for application-

PENCIL BAG-

These new cosmetic bags from Cricut are so cute and I immediately thought of using them for a pencil bag to send with the kids to school. Infusible Ink is my very favorite products that Cricut offers!! I went with a fun marble on the controller to add color and texture to the bag. I created a video below to show you just how easy it is to use!

Place your Infusible ink on the Cricut cutting mat with the ink side up! *(You will notice that I have gloves on in the video, the ink will transfer with any moisture, so just to be safe I like to create that barrier with some gloves when handling the Transfer sheets.)Using your Cricut Machine cut out the Infusible Ink Transfer sheet. Make sure you always mirror your image when cutting Infusible Ink.
Here is a step by step application video!
Cricut has made it so easy to apply Infusible Ink. When using their blanks the results are unbelievable. My son loved how this turned out!!
WATER BOTTLE-

This darling design was already created in Cricut Design Space! I just added the name to the bottom! Using the Design space File at the top of this post open and cut the water bottle design using Cricut Permanent Black Vinyl.

SKELETON MASK-
I love these masks that I found at Target. They are just a cotton fabric, breathable, and fit my boys really well. They also are so easy to add some iron on to and make them our own!

Cricut 12×12 machine cutting mat
Cotton Mask- I used these ones
This Design has 2 layers. First apply the base and then the white teeth on top. I used the Cricut EasyPress Mini to get into the small area of the mask while keeping it flat on the mat.
Cut Black Everyday iron on using your Cricut Machine. Weed Design. Place Design.

Using the EasyPress Mini on the Medium Setting, Press mask on front for 30 seconds. Flip over and press back for 15 seconds. Remove Liner. Cut and repeat steps for the white teeth.

Remove Liner and your done!
I hope that these tutorials will help you get all those essential school items ready to go! You can customize the size and name to fit any blanks that you find. Remember, any item that you want to put Cricut infusible Ink on needs to be at least 60% polyester.
Make sure and pin for later!!!
